Purpose and terms of use

publishers.news is the web edition of the magazine Publishers and of the Publishnews daily news: it publishes news, interviews, opinion, reviews and a calendar of book fairs about Spanish-language publishing. It is free to read and requires no registration.

By using the site you accept this legal notice. You agree to use the site and its content lawfully and, in particular, not to try to enter its restricted areas (the newsroom panel), not to damage or overload its systems, and not to sign other people up to the newsletter without their permission.

We may change the site, its content and this notice whenever necessary. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date shown at the foot.

Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, illustrations, covers, designs, logos and trade marks on this site belong to Lantia Publishing S.L. or to their authors and other rights holders, who have authorised us to publish them.

You may read the content, link to it and share its links. You may quote extracts under article 32 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act: with the author's name and the source, and to the extent justified by the quotation. Any other reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation, in whole or in part, requires our prior written permission. For the purposes of article 33 of that Act, we expressly reserve our rights in all articles published on this site.

The covers and extracts of reviewed books belong to their publishers and authors; we reproduce them for the purposes of review and criticism.

Text and data mining. Under article 67.3 of Royal Decree-Law 24/2021, we expressly reserve the use of this site's content for text and data mining, including the training of artificial intelligence systems, unless expressly authorised. Prices

The magazine prices shown on the site — single issue and annual subscription — are for information only: sales on this site have not opened yet. [PENDIENTE: state whether prices include VAT and delivery (article 10.1.f LSSI) and link the terms of sale when the shop opens]

Links

The site links to third-party pages: the originals of news stories, the official websites of fairs, those of publishers and bookshops. We do not control those pages and are not responsible for their content; if we learn that one of them is unlawful, we will promptly remove the link (article 17 LSSI).

You may link to any page of publishers.news, provided that the link does not suggest a relationship with us that does not exist and that our pages are not displayed within another website's pages.

Liability

We take care over the accuracy of what we publish and correct mistakes as soon as we know about them, as our editorial policy explains. The information on this site is journalistic and general: it is not professional advice, and we are not liable for decisions taken on the strength of it alone.

The dates in the fair calendar come from each fair's official website, which we link to. Check them there before travelling or booking anything.

We do what is reasonable to keep the site running without interruptions or harmful components, but we cannot guarantee it, and we are not liable for damage caused by technical failures beyond our control.

Governing law and jurisdiction
